Sapadere Canyon is one of the most visited places in Alanya. This is an interesting place for all nature lovers.
Here you will find a gorge with a mountain river, waterfalls, rock bowls formed by erosion, a cave and the amazing nature of the mountain region. Sapadere is about 45 km. northeast of the city center of Alanya.
The 750 meter long canyon attracts many tourists to visit. If you want to enjoy this natural beauty in peace without crowding, it is best to come here in the early morning.
Such an amazing landscape has been created by nature over many centuries under the influence of water flow, earth erosion and wind. The park was opened to visitors in 2008.
A wooden platform was built for a comfortable movement along the gorge, which fits harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. Equipped with benches, the path allows for short breaks. There are waterfalls of various sizes and shapes along the river. At the end of the route you will find the large waterfall that falls into the blue river water. On hot summer days, you can refresh yourself by bathing in the river. However, keep in mind that the water temperature is around 10 degrees all year round.
In hot summer months, you will immediately notice a difference between the air temperatures in the city and at this resort. Cool, particularly clean air, lots of green nature and heavenly peace give you a new energy.
Along the gorge there is a café with refreshing drinks. You can have a glass of tea in peace or enjoy a cup of Turkish coffee. There is a restaurant and souvenir shops in the park. Parking spaces are available.
How do you get there:
Drive towards Demirtas, along D-400. Turn in the direction of the town center (follow the signs) and move north towards the mountains. The Sapadere Kanyon signs can be found at regular intervals.
