According to Paragraph 587 of the Turkish legislation there is mandatory earthquake insurance
under the abbreviated name DASK (Dogal Afet Sigortalari Kurumu).

DASK insurance is required after purchasing a property and before registering for a water and electricity subscription.

The insurance is valid for 1 year. After the period of validity has expired, you can voluntarily update it.
