According to the new decree, the buyer is obliged to provide the Land Office with a certificate from a Turkish bank on the availability of funds in local currency (Turkish lira) for the purchase of real estate. This certificate is proof that the buyer has exchanged foreign currency for Turkish lira for the purchase of real estate.
The amount of funds must be equal to the estimated value specified in the Tapu document for the property. This amount is below the market value of the object!
This operation must necessarily be carried out through a Turkish bank. The Bank issues to the applicants a certificate/document on currency exchange of a certain sample (Döviz Alım Belgesi).
