Storm in Turkey

A strong storm hit Turkey on November 25-26.

The Minister of Internal Affairs warned citizens about adverse weather conditions. Provincial AFAD centers in 81 provinces have been put on alert along with the relevant Turkey Emergency Response Plan (TAMP) teams.

The regions have been assigned an orange danger level.

Alania took on a less powerful blow from the elements compared to the Black Sea region. Heavy rain, which began on November 25 and intensified its impact during the day, suspended life in the region. Hail the size of a walnut fell in the Kestel, Oba, and Dimchay areas.

The storm caused large waves in the sea. On Cleopatra Beach you can now see large stones in places.

Due to the hurricane, a tree fell on a parked car in the Kizlarpınar area of Alanya. The mountainous region welcomed the first snow in Alanya. Snowfall was observed in Gokbel and the adjacent plateaus.

Heavy rain in Antalya had a negative impact on life in the city.

Due to the rain, traffic was difficult and cars had difficulty moving through the water on the road. High waves appeared on Konyaalti beach due to strong winds.

In Manavgat, a tornado passing through the region destroyed centuries-old pine trees and broke many trees. Uprooted trees fell on a shuttle bus, injuring 7 people.
