Turkey, like every constitutional state, levies taxes on the ownership of apartments, houses, commercial real estate and land.
For foreign nationals, the tax rate is identical to the contribution of Turkish nationals.
Acquisition tax - 4% of the estimated value of the property. Please note! The estimated value is often lower than the market value (determined by the valuation of an independent expert and specified in Tapu / land register). It is paid once when the property is purchased.
Annual property tax. Is paid in the town hall or online.
Annual tax rate:
Residential property - 0.2%
Commercial real estate - 0.4%
Land with building permit - 0.6%
Land without building permit (agricultural land) - 0.2%.
